Cowboy’s first visit to big city church

Cowboy’s first visit to big city church – Funny how those church people have different names for things …

The cowboy was telling his fellow cowboys back on the ranch about his first visit to a big-city church.

“When I got there, they had me park my old truck in the corral,” the cowboy began.

“You mean the parking lot,” interrupted the camp cook, a more worldly fellow.

“I walked up the trail to the door,” the cowboy continued.

“The sidewalk to the door,” the cook corrected him.

“Inside the door, I was met by this dude,” the cowboy went on.

“That would be the usher,” cook explained.

“Well, the usher led me down the chute,” the cowboy said.

“You mean the aisle,” the cook said.

“Then, he led me to a stall and told me to sit there,” the cowboy continued.

“Pew,” cook retorted.

“Yeah,” recalled the cowboy. “That’s what that pretty lady said when I sat down beside her.”
