I didn’t duet — A true story … (from many years ago)
My wife and I have been teaching our son, Jack, to read by sounding out individual letters and stringing them together to make words. As part of these, we’ve been using refrigerator magnets of letters, to spell out words. My wife had the word ‘DUET’ on the fridge, and asked Jack to sound out the word. “Doot?” “No, honey, it’s du-et.”
Jack blurted out, “I didn’t do it!”
