The Lie Clock – What if in Heaven there’s a clock recording every lie you ever told?
A man died and went to Heaven. Shortly after his arrival, he noticed an enormous wall of clocks, and asked Saint Peter what their purposes are?
Saint Peter replied, “Those are Lie Clocks. Every person on Earth has one. Whenever a person tells a lie, the clock moves one second forward. For example, that clock over there belonged to Abraham Lincoln. Abe was a very, very honest man. He only told two lies in his life, and so his clock only advanced two seconds.”
The man was impressed, and a question arose in his mind. “Where’s the clock for <insert your favorite politician here>?”
With a smile, Saint Peter replied, “The Lord keeps that in his office as a ceiling fan.”
