Checks and Balances – When they say that the American political system consists of checks and balances, is this what they mean?
The American political system is supposed to be one of checks and balances.
We have the checks: welfare checks, allotment checks, Social Security checks, unemployment checks, poverty checks and subsidy checks.
But where are the balances?
